Common Questions
How much does a new build cost?
Custom builds typically start at $3M for a 60-foot semi-custom and scale from there. A superyacht in the 30-50m range usually falls between $15M and $60M depending on yard, specifications, and interior design. We provide a realistic budget range before any commitments.
How long does a build take?
A semi-custom build runs 12–18 months. A full-custom superyacht typically takes 24–36 months from contract to delivery. We build a detailed milestone schedule at the outset so you always know where the project stands.
Can I modify the design during construction?
Within reason, yes. Changes are common in the early stages and manageable at a defined cost. We manage a formal change-order process so every modification is documented, priced, and approved before implementation.
Do I need my own naval architect?
Not necessarily. Most reputable yards have in-house design teams or long-standing partnerships with naval architects. We help you evaluate whether an independent architect adds value for your specific project.
What if I want to sell the yacht before delivery?
Build slots on popular models can carry resale value. We handle the resale or assignment of your build contract through our brokerage division if circumstances change.
